Frequently Asked Questions

Lashes

What is the difference between Classic, Hybrid and Volume lashes?

Classic lashes are the most natural with 1 eyelash extension to 1 natural lash. Classic is a great option if you have naturally full lashes. Volume lashes are hand made “fans” with 2-6 lighter weight extensions applied to each natural lash. Volume creates a dense, dark and full lash line and is the most dramatic type of extensions. Hybrid is a 50/50 mixture of both classic extensions and volume fans.

It is my first time getting lash extensions, what can I expect?

Each full set and fill comes with a customized lash design that will compliment your natural lash health, eye shape and facial features. Your full set appointment will take anywhere from 2-3 hours and fills are required every 2-3 weeks with appointment times ranging from 1-2 hours. Lashes do not hurt, if applied correctly, and you won’t even be able to feel them on! You will need to refrain from drinking caffeine 2 hours prior to your appointment as it causes the eyes to flutter making application difficult. Please come with freshly cleaned lashes and no eye makeup on or arrive 10 min early to cleanse at the salon. Each lash appointment is your time to relax and take a nap or bring some headphones and listen to your choice of book, podcast, music, etc.

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

They do not- if applied correctly! I pride myself on ensuring that I use the correct weights and diameters of extensions based on your natural lash health. Most damage is seen if clients try to remove lashes themselves or tend to pick/pull lashes out. Always come in for a proper removal if you no longer want your extensions on.

I don’t like my lashes after my appointment, what do we do now?

You have 72 hours to let me know that you were not satisfied to receive a 30 min complimentary fill to make nessecary adjustments to your lash design. Refunds are not given under any circumstance.

Facials

I’ve never had a facial before, which one should I book?

The Signature Facelift or Ormedic Lift are the best enzyme based options for your first facial. Our Signature Facelift is a results driven treatment combinng the power of Vitamin C, hydroxy acids and enzymes to speed up cellular turnover. The Ormedic Lift contains organic ingredients to help rebalance, regenerate and restore skin with highly potent anti-oxidants and no chemicals, acids or parabens. Both are great for all skin types!

How often should I get a facial?

It is recommended to receive a professional treatment every 4-6 weeks for a deeper level exfoliation and skin maintenance. If you are looking to get a chemical peel it is highly recommended to prep the skin with an enzyme facial a few weeks prior to your chemical peel.

What are the benefits of a facial?

Exfoliation: Your skin is your largest organ and it is constantly regenerating. As your body produces new skin cells, dead cells tend to sit on the surface and can lead to clog pores and other issues. A facial can remove these cells and leave you feeling refreshed.
Blemish control: All facials include extractions and can reduce the appearance of acne and acne scars
Anti-Aging: Professional treatments can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun spots, sun damage and other signs of aging. Every facial will leave your skin plumped and hydrated.
Circulation: Facials can stimulate the blood vessels under your skin for proper circulation creating a natural glow and continuing with regular facials can sustain this blood flow.

After Care

How do I care for my new lash extensions?

Everyone is given an aftercare kit at their full set appointment which includes a foam pump cleanser, cleansing brush and two spoolies to brush your lashes with. Avoid water/heat/steam for 24 hours after which you must cleanse your lashes 1-2x daily for optimal retention. No picking or touching your lashes, sleeping on your face, rubbing your lash line harshly, using oil based prodcuts to cleanse your lashes or thick oil based eyeliner daily. Anyhting oil based will break the glue bond down and cause poor retention. Brush your lashes daily to ensure they always look their very best. Fills are required every 2-3 weeks.
